RTI Brain
Ask anything RTI has published, funded, or done
Everything the brain holds today comes from RTI’s own site and the federal award record. No answer here rests on anything outside those two. This site shows it at work in three ways.

The desk
Ask it a question and watch it work at the level of the record: each lookup it makes, with the terms it used; every record that came back, each with its link into rti.org or USASpending.gov; and the answer it writes from them. This page runs the brain live.
OpenIn real time
The home page's example questions, replayed at the pace they were answered. Each replay is a recording of one real answer: the lookups land at the seconds they landed, and the words arrive as they arrived. There is a scrubber, and the clock is the real one.
OpenTwo mouths, one record
The same question asked twice: typed into the box, and spoken to the orb. One agent answers both. The spoken answer is the shorter one, read aloud in chunks, and the screen keeps the whole of it. The sources under each are laid side by side.
